About me : neuropsychology in English
Joanna GAUTIER – Psychologist and Neuropsychologist
06 68 84 07 35
After obtaining my postgraduate’s degree in Neuropsychology and clinical psychology at the University of Nantes, I started working within the Cabinet Dobrée.
I work with children and teenagers (from the age of three), and, more occasionally, with adults. I offer neuropsychological evaluations, cognitive training and psychological help.
My ai mis to offer neuropsychological evaluations that have a purpose and take part in an overall project of care (i.e., cognitive training in the event of cognitive deficits or weaknesses, or psychological care/therapy). With the consent of my patient (and their parents in the case of children), I enjoy collaborating with the other professionals that participate to their well-being, as I believe team work is crucial.
My experience is based on various work experiences within hospitals (notably rehabilitation centers for children or adults who have suffered a brain lesion, pediatric cystic fibrosis units, addiction centers)

I am very attached to my “clinical” side, i.e. accompanying patients individually, and believe it is very important even in neuropsychology. In that sense, I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and have started a training course in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within the AFTCC in Nantes.
In addition to my work within the Cabinet Dobrée, I am currently realizing a Ph.D at the University of Nantes. My research focuses on the eye movements that occur during autobiographical recall. I also give lessons in cognitive psychology.
